The location of the hotel is fantastic, right near Temple market and 10-15 minute walk to Ladies market and Nathan rd. Also near public transport. Hotel offers free internet which is handy. I had requested no smoking room and a queen bed and we got 2 seperate single beds in a smoking room. When I queried this, hotel staff were extremely unhelpful and said there were not enough rooms in the hotel that have double/queen beds. I find it extremely hard to believe that in a hotel that size there are not enough big beds. As for the smoking/non smoking room problem, apparently all beds on a no smoking floor are single beds. Then again everywhere in HK allows smoking (even though there are new laws against it) and customer service is rare in Asia. If you are after a hotel in a good location for a resonable price I would suggest this hotel, we were there for only a couple of nights so I wasnt too fussed about my requests being ignored.

We tried to get away from street noises and got a room at the 22nd floor. That was, however, close to the elevator shaft and we were kept awake most of the night by noisy machinery. The regsitration lobby is geing redone, but after completion it should be good value for your money spent. Very nicely situated away from downtown, but still within walking distance. Also very close to the night market.

Conferences happen quite frequently in Hong Kong, and the hotel price fluctuates greatly based on those. Comparatively, Wesley is reasonably priced for its location and you get a clean and decent room. Surely, the room is a bit small, and there are no amenities to speak off. Think about this way - when you are in Hong Kong, it's more likely you are going to be having fun outside and sitting in your room. Wesley provides you a clean and safe place to sleep.

the hotel is basic, i stayed here on 2 different trips, the last time was for 5 weeks, the room was cleaned twice a week, the staff was helpful, the location is EXELLENT.. hennessy road is one of the main roads and all buses and trams stop outside the hotel, plus you are in the middle of central and admiralty metro lines.walking distance to lang wai fong, to the convention centre, pacific place is accross the road almost... restaurant is pure chinese food, but don't use the laundry service.......it is very expensive.. use the little laundrette on anton street(outisde the big door) it's quick, cheap and the lady is really friendly!!

Having stayed here three years ago and been mildly impressed, it was good to see that standards were still high. Centred in the Wan Chai district the hotel is excellent value for HK Island. The tram stops just outside the door and the MTR station is a 2-minute walk away.
Rooms are clean and well appointed, many with microwaves and all with a fridge. Value-wise it was the best that I had found in HK and the staff work hard to ensure that everything is ok. We were able to check in at 8am after a red-eye flight from LA.
From a business point of view there is no wireless internet as of Aug 04 and the business centre internet is overpriced. That said there is a great coffee shop 4 doors down with good coffee and fast wireless. The Pacific Centre is a 5 to 10 minute walk with shops and restaurants.
